Hello, My wife and I have recently become members of a small rural NACCC affiliated Congregational Church. We’re very pleased with the warm family culture and general congeniality of the congregation. We chose a Congregational Church largely because of the independent nature of the church itself and that of the individual members. Our only disappointment is that the strong independence seems to play out in a lack of freely shared expressions of faith, casual discussion of scripture and such as part of regular informal association and fellowship. In time we may find other members who take joy in openly talking about God’s Word and sharing our love of Bible text, but for now we’ll enjoy the developing friendships as we get involved in the activities and functions that help the congregation maintain and flourish. God Bless

Rosco, welcome to our family of Congregational Christian Churches. I pastor a small rural church in central Illinois. I'm sure as you befriend and open up to others about your faith, their faith will come shining through. That's generally been my experience. God bless you, Wayne McLeod First Congregational Church Toulon, IL
